Marley鈥疪aycroft鈥檚鈥痮ptimism is鈥痠nspiring. After suffering a pulmonary embolism鈥痠n鈥疭eptember 2019,鈥痵he鈥痬issed the first few weeks of鈥痝rade 12. When she returned to school, Marley had to fight the fatigue caused by her new medication and try to catch up on all the work she missed.鈥�淭his year I studied and focused much harder than I ever鈥痥new I could,鈥� she says.鈥��
Marley has dreamed of going to Saint Mary鈥檚鈥痵ince鈥痵he鈥痺as 10 years old. After completing her鈥疊achelor of鈥疌ommerce,鈥痵he plans to pursue an鈥疢BA鈥痑t鈥痶he Sobey School of Business as well.鈥��
鈥淭hanks to this scholarship,鈥疘 feel as if my life is only getting better from now on鈥︹�疶his scholarship truly is a dream come true and I couldn鈥檛 thank the鈥疭obey Family,鈥疶he Sobey Foundation,鈥痑nd Sobeys Inc.鈥痚nough for selecting me鈥� Although this year has been very rocky for me, this scholarship made it my best year yet.鈥濃��
