Earning a Sobey scholarship was just one highlight for Connor Haines this year. His鈥痗urling team鈥痺on the 2020 Under-18 Men鈥檚 Nova Scotia Provincial Curling鈥疌hampionship. If not for the鈥疌OVID-19 pandemic,鈥痟e鈥檇鈥痓e鈥痟eaded to the National Championship in Sudbury, Ontario.鈥疕e also boxes鈥痑nd鈥痯lays鈥痯ercussion and drums, winning high school band awards鈥痜or outstanding achievement鈥痜our years in a row. Throw in his work at the South Shore Genealogical Society, his Duke of Edinburgh certificate, and his time as a junior firefighter and you鈥檝e got quite a renaissance man!鈥�
Connor looks鈥痜orward to learning鈥痬ore about economics and entrepreneurship鈥痠n his time at Saint鈥疢ary鈥檚, and鈥痯lans鈥痶o take part in the co-op鈥痯rogram.鈥疕is鈥痜uture鈥痯lans鈥痠nclude鈥痵tarting鈥痟is鈥痮wn鈥痓usiness, and鈥痗oming out of university debt-free is part of that strategy.
